Admissions

The number of graduate applicants admitted into the program varies from year to year, depending on availability of faculty advisers, and qualifications of applicants. The most competitive applicants will meet the following minimum requirements for entry into the graduate program.  A student lacking some of these minimum requirements but admitted to the program may be advised to take some make-up courses in the first year of graduate work.

Orientation

FSoS provides orientation to students in several ways.  As students are applying, faculty and staff are available to answer questions and discuss the graduate program with students.  Once students have been admitted to the program, we have a welcome program that allows people to come and get further information about the program.

FSoS provides orientation to all new students at the beginning of fall semester.  Continuous opportunity to meet with the Director of Graduate Studies and faculty is available throughout the graduate program.
