Rural Families Speak Project has been going since 1998 and involves two project identification numbers of NC-223 and now NC-1011. There have been researchers in 17 states involved at different periods of time.
This research was supported in part by USDA/CSREES/ NRICGP Grant 2001-35401-10215, 2002-35401-11591 and 2004-35401-14938. All the states have supported the data collection and preparation of data set.
