Welcome to the undergraduate program in Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota!  This multidisciplinary major is a great match for students interested in helping people, developing counseling skills, and understanding human relationships. After completing extensive coursework in family social science and a rigorous required internship, our graduates are well-prepared to work with families in professional environments. Many choose to continue their educations through graduate study in family science or related family programs such as marriage and family therapy or social work.
