Innovative Services

Ingenuity Combining with Clinical Science and Practice to Create Cutting Edge Services
At the Family Caregiving Center, we believe it is not good enough to simply offer quality services. We are challenged to provide leadership in pursuing new ideas and directions in the field of family centered care. Through our collaborative learning communities new insights are systematically developed into innovative projects, procedures and practices. The result of this ingenuity is cutting-edge services for families, providers and other members of our community. The broader community benefits as we train others in state of the art practices that have proven to be beneficial.

What You'll Find in Innovative Services at the Center
Our projects are grounded in Family Centered Care, specifically the intimacy and inter-dependency of family life. But our focus is not simply on the care provided by family members in the community. We recognize that care provided by professionals in adult day service or long-term care settings can also reflect the values of Family Centered Care. As a result, our projects emphasize the use of family interventions and family communities to bring about emotional connection, finding and sharing of personal wisdom, and achieving a balance between the illness life and family life.
